KCET Results 2018

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will declare the results of KCET 2018 in the last week of May. The rank of KCET 2018 will be made available along with KCET results 2018 in the online mode. Candidates will be able to check KCET 2018 results using their registration number. The results will display the scores and ranks secured by candidates in the entrance test.

KCET 2018 results will not be sent to candidates through post/email. Candidates who could not enter marks of qualifying exam during registration will be provided with the facility to enter their marks and percentage before the declaration of results. How to check KCET Results 2018

  • Visit the official website link kar.nic.in
  • Click on ‘KCET results 2018’ link.
  • Enter the registration number
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button.
  • Your results will appear in your system screen.
  • Take a printout of the results after download it.
  • Secure the printout of the results for further process.

KCET Results 2018 – Calculation of scores

  • The scores obtained in KCET 2018 is calculated based on the following points:
  • Results are calculated in equal proportion of marks obtained in Karnataka CET and marks secured in Class 12.
  • Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of merit.
  • Candidates are given merit position based on marks secured by candidates in KCET 2018 and marks obtained by candidates in PCM in class 12 Board examination.

KCET Results 2018 - Tie-breaking resolution

In case of a tie, several measures will be implemented to break the tie. The measures to resolve a tie are as follows:

  • Candidate obtaining higher score in Mathematics in the test will be given first preference.
  • If tie persists, then the candidate with higher rank in Physics in the entrance examination will be placed at higher rank.
  • If tie is not resolved, candidate with better marks in standardized marks in the subject of Mathematics in class 12 Board examination will be placed higher in the rank list.
  • Following this, if the tie still remains, the candidates with higher marks in standardized marks in the subject of Physics in class 10+2 examination will be posited better rank.
  • If the tie is still applicable, age of candidates will be taken into account and the older candidate awarded higher rank.

KCET Cut-off 2018

The cutoff of KCET 2018 will be released by Karnataka Examination Authority. KCET 2018 cutoff will be prepared for two rounds. Each cutoff list will be released after completion of previous round of counselling. Candidates securing rank higher than or equal to the closing rank will be eligible for admission process. Candidates meeting the cutoff will be shortlisted for admission process and seats will be allotted as per merit.

About KCET 2018

Karnataka Examination Authority will conduct KCET 2018 for admission to various B.Tech courses across colleges in Karnataka. Based on KCET results 2018, the conducting authority will publish the cutoff of KCET 2018 in the form of opening and closing rank. Counselling rounds will be conducted on merit basis. Seat allotment process will be completed in four rounds. Around 220 private and government institutes will admit candidates on the basis of scores obtained in KCET 2018 to fill over 45000 seats.
