MH CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

MH CET 2017 is a state level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai Maharashtra for the admissions into Engineering and Pharmacy Under Graduate courses which are offered by institutes in the Maharashtra State for academic year 2017-18. MH CET 2017 application forms are made available from 14th February 2017.

MH CET 2017 Eligibility:

1) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

2) A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

Eligibility Criterion

Home University

Type-A

(i) Candidates who passed HSC / Class XII or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State

(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra

Place of passing of Qualifying Examination falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type-B

A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.

Place of Domicile Certificate issuing authority falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type-C

A Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type- B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.

Place of posting of Father or Mother of Candidate falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type-D

A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Place of posting of Father or Mother of Candidate or the place of settlement of the Father or Mother if retired or the place of last posting if deputed outside Maharashtra falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type-E

Candidates who passed HSC / Class XII Examination from a recognised institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Candidate shall be considered for the Outside Home University or State Level Seats.

3) Candidates who passed / appearing the qualifying examination HSC/Class XII exam or its equivalent exam are eligible.

4) There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT CET 2017.

5) Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign are exempted from appearing for MH CET 2017.

6) The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

First Year - Engineering / Technology

1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:

i) Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects taken together

iii) Obtained score in MHT-CET 2017 conducted by the Competent Authority.

2) All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates:

i) Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time)in the above subjects taken together

iii) Obtained score in JEE Main 2017 Paper I or MHT CET 2017.

First Year - Pharmacy

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates:

i) Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects taken together

iii) Obtained Score in MH CET 2017.

 

First Year- Pharm D

Maharashtra State Candidature and All India Candidature Candidates:

i) Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time) in the above subjects taken together

Or

ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time)

iii) The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in the MH CET 2017.
