Tripura University is located in the town of Suryamaninagar, 10KMs away from the Agartala, The Capital city of Tripura state. Tripura University was established on 2nd October, 1987 by Tripura University Act in the Assembly Act. Later in 2007, Tripura University has been converted to Central University by Tripura University Act, 2006 as enacted by the Parliament. Tripura University is the only public university in the state of Tripura with 52 affiliated Colleges, among which 27 are General Degree Colleges, 19 Professional Degree Colleges, 2 Technical Colleges and 4 Polytechnic Institutes. The college has a well developed infrastructure and facilities like computer lab, Auditorium, Sports and more. Tripura University has a well equipped central library, which meets the academic needs of its students.

I started my journey as a student of Masters degree in Tripura University just a few months ago. Things seemed little shakey at the beginning as I felt myself in a unfamiliar zone. New place, new batchmates, new friends and faculties, new environment. There was a feeling of ecstasy blended with nervousness. The University had all the facilities I required - good hostel with connectivity, nice food, better faculties, huge library with vast collection, market nearby. Within weeks, everything seemed to be falling in place. My journey started comparatively smoother than I expected though I don't know how it will end. Fate's strong, but there are times when perseverance and dedication deviates ill fate.
