It is one of the best chemical engineering colleges you will ever witness. The department has had a tremendous record of placements with almost 95% students getting placed every year. Students can get admission into this college on the basis of their JEE Mains rank. The counseling takes place under JAC Chandigarh. The cutoff for general category usually lies between 60k-90k but the college has a plethora of reservations for the students.

The college life at UICET is very enjoyable. The department organizes a cultural fest named as Cyanide every year. Apart from that many technical fests are also held at the campus. The library consists of many books. Many sports events such as inter class Cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and others for both boys and girls are also organised by the department. The department also has many societies such as dance club, arts Club, music club, e cell, bhangra club, english speaking club, photography club and many other clubs which will add lot of skills to your CV.
