The Nalsar University of Law officially the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), is a legal studies institution located in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana. The educational university was established in the year 1998. The university-affiliated with Unitary State University constituted by a statute of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Should have valid rank in CLAT (UG)/JEE (Mains) Scorecard. Telangana residence area students must fulfill the Local Candidate regulations of the Telangana Government.

NALSAR University of Law is located at Shameerpet, Hyderabad on a sprawling 55 acres of land surrounded by beautiful landscaping and aesthetically designed architecture attracting the students and every visitor to the campus.  NALSAR University has the following infrastructure facilities on campus:

  • Law Library: The NALSAR Law Library is one of the largest Libraries of Law in the country, in terms of capacity and titles.  This Library has above 30,000 titles covering various fields of study ranging from Law to social sciences. It has a Reference section; stocks complete volume sets of important journals and compilations in the field of Law.
  • Internet Centre: The campus is Wireless Fidelity (WiFi). The University has LAN connectivity in all rooms of the Hostels, guest house, convention center, etc.
  • Halls of Residence: NALSAR University has separate Halls of residence for Boys and Girls with a common dining hall, generator back-up, television, and internet connectivity.
  • Convention Centre: A self-contained state-of-the-art Convention Centre is available for exclusive use or organizing national and international conferences, Training Programmes, Workshops, and Summer Courses.
  • Transport:  TS Road Transport and private transport facilities are available from various locations of the twin cities.  NALSAR University has two buses for providing conveyance to Faculty and Administrative staff.  These buses are used for Student activities as and when required.
  • Bank facility:  ATM facility is available on the campus, while the students can utilize the banking services of various banks located in Shameepet village.
  • Health Centre: A Health centre with a male and female Medical Officer and a resident Nurse is available for providing out-patient facilities to students.  For emergency medical requirements, an ambulance is available round-the-clock.
  • Games and Sports: A stadium with state-of-the-art facilities is available with 2 tennis Courts, one each for boys and girls.  Playfields for various sports are under construction.

Q. Is the MBA course content consisting of LAW subjects?

A. The MBA Programme offered by NALSAR DoMS is intended to equip skills required to deal with a fast-changing business environment and at the same time focus on financial, political, and cultural issues and the legal system. The MBA program has an interdisciplinary design as it joins together the knowledge emanating from the disciplines of Management, Law, and accountancy.  DoMS at present is offering specializations in Court Management, Corporate Governance, Innovation and Sustainability Management, and Financial Services and Capital Markets.  Students can choose any of these specializations and study them along with Finance, HR, Financial Services, etc.  It may be noted that various Law-oriented Advanced Diploma programs are offered to interesting students by DoMS of NALSAR University.

A. Campus placements at NALSAR University, Hyderabad for UG programs are managed by a body of students with each outgoing batch electing its own Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC).  The RCC coordinates with the existing and prospective Recruiters based on the interests of its subscribers (outgoing students).  With continuous support from the Faculty, the RCC ensures successful placements.

Q. Are the Degrees/Diplomas awarded by CDOE of NALSAR University valid or recognized?

A. Yes, all the Programmes of PG/Advanced Diplomas offered by NALSAR University CDOE/DDE are recognized by UGC (ODL) regulations. Hence, the Degrees/Diplomas awarded by CDOE/DDE are valid.

Q. Is it possible to pursue two Programmes at a time at NALSAR University CDOE?

A. No, candidates are not admitted into two Programmes simultaneously.

Q. How many Centres are available for candidates to attend Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs)?

A. All the Personal Contact Programmes and examinations are held only at Hyderabad

Q. Is there any minimum attendance requirement in the PCPs?

A. Yes, at least 75% attendance in the PCP is required to get the candidate eligible to appear for the end Semester Examination of M.A Programmes. While attendance is not compulsory for Advanced Diploma Programmes, candidates are advised to attend the classes in their own interest. Candidates can opt for PCPs either physically or online.  The recorded videos of the classes will also be uploaded on the website.

Q. Is there any provision for CDOE candidates to utilize the services of the Library of NALSAR University?

A. Yes, they can access the library only for reference books. Books shall not be issued to the candidates. They are required to carry their Identity Cards issued by the University each time they visit the Library.

Q. What is the later entry?

A. Candidates who completed a one-year Advanced Diploma in Aviation Law and Air Transport Management can take lateral admission in the Second year MA Programme offered in the relevant specialization.

Q. What is the exit policy?

A. In case a candidate opts to Exit after completion of the First year of M.A. (Aviation Law and Air Transport Management) such of the candidate shall be awarded a one-year Advanced Diploma Certificate in the said specialization.

Q. Are there any campus placements for candidates who successfully complete Distance Education from NALSAR DDE?

A. The programs offered by the DDE of NALSAR are intended for working-class people to enhance their subject knowledge and expertise in a particular area of Law. Hence, no facility for campus placements by DDE exist.  However, DDE provides information about candidates, when approached by Organizations for any employment requirements.
