Recruiting more number of teachers is a must for the proper and correct implementation of the Right of Children for Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act 2009 and hence the enormous task of recruiting teachers has started. The main point to be considered in this big work is the quality and it should not be diluted at any cost. Taking all these points into consideration, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has been conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) every year.
This Teacher Eligibility Test exam helps in selecting the candidates having the minimum essential ability and aptitude to meet the challenges of teaching the classes from one to eight at elementary level. Based on the regulations of NCTE, the government of Andhra Pradesh has issued certain guidelines for the Teacher Eligibility Test and this is being conducted as APTET exam. The APTET exam notification has been released and the important info regarding this Teacher test has been furnished below.
Eligibility for APTET :
Candidates having possessed the minimum qualifications as dictated in the information bulletin for a teacher for Paper I and Paper II are only eligible for APTET exam.
Candidates in the final year of any teacher education course or language pandit training courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI can apply for APTET
The below mentioned subjects are considered for APTET exam. Language II will be English to all the candidates in respect of Andhra Pradesh. In this Teacher Test Language I is elective and the languages offered in this paper are Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarathi, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, and Tamil.
