EDCET – Education Common Entrance Test
"Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one”, such is the power of education and the teacher who imparts education is always respected. For this esteemed profession, good and bright candidates have to be selected and trained in a well organized way. Every year an entrance exam is conducted to select the candidates in the name of EDCET, Education Common Entrance Test.
This year the EDCET is being conducted by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam and candidates aspiring to get B.Ed admissions in the universities of Andhra Pradesh and their affiliate Colleges of Education, has to apply for and pass the EDCET exam. This Education entrance exam is a 2 hour exam with 150 questions.
1. Candidates who have already cleared or writing their final year exams of the following degree courses
a. B.A
b. B.Sc
c. B.Com
d. B.Sc (Home Science)
e. B.C.A
f. B.B.M
2. The minimum percentage in the above mentioned courses is 50% for General Candidates and 40% for other reserved categories
3. Minimum age limit for EDCET exam is 19 years
