ECET – Engineering Common Entrance Test
For students aspiring to get into engineering stream, entrance exam after 10+2 is not the only way. Even after your Bachelor’s degree or diploma also, you can get into your most desired stream of engineering. This is possible through attempting and getting qualified in ECET exam (Engineering Common Entrance Test). This year, ECET , a 120 minutes test is being conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
The application form along with the information brochure having the complete info of ECET can be obtained at all e-seva centre, post offices and all designated branches of Axis bank by paying 300/-. About 27,000 diploma students are estimated to apply for ECET exam this year and this figure has be to kept in mind by the students preparing for ECET .
Eligibility Criteria for ECET :
Candidates appearing for ECET exam should be nationals of India.
Candidates already passed the qualifying examination or appearing for the final exam of qualifying course or also eligible for ECET exam. But the qualifying exam differs for each course offered being offered in the engineering Colleges and therefore students are advised to go through the notification for the detailed eligibility criteria.
ECET Syllabus:
The following subjects are covered in the Common Engineering Exam
1. Mathematics
2. Physics
3. Chemistry
The above mentioned subjects are common to all branches in the entrance exam for engineering. Related to the branch selected the last subject differs. The last subject is engineering with questions related to the selected branch.
