ICAI - Integrated Chartered Accountants of India
In synchronization with the Chartered Accountants Regulations 1988, various examinations corresponding to the different levels of the Chartered Accountancy course are being conducted every year by the Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The entrance examinations conducted by this ICAI are Common Proficiency Test (CPT), Professional Competence Examination (PCE), Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE) and the Final Examination
Generally these examinations are conducted two times in a year and in the months of May and November. But for CPT exam, a small variation is there and that is the exam is conducted in the months of June and December. The ICAI 2013 exam notification for the month of June has been released and the detailed information regarding the ICAI exams like, important dates, syllabus and eligibility etc are dealt below.
Eligibility Criteria for CPT :
Candidates appeared or passed in 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized examining body constituted by law, during March/April 2012 are eligible for CPT 2012 exam.
CPT syllabus:
The Common Proficiency Test is conducted for 200 marks and the subjects dealt in the CPT exam are
1. Fundamentals of Accounting
1. Mercantile Law
2. General Economics
3. Quantitative Aptitude
