AIPGMEE All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam
Conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIPGMEE is the entrance exam for admission under 50% seats quota for medical and dental post graduate courses. Candidates passing the AIPGMEE entrance exam get admitted in to the medical and dental colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Government (with Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K as exceptions) and municipal and other local authorities.
Applications for AIPGMEE 2013 are invited from the candidates in the prescribed form. Below you will find the important dates and deadlines of AIPGMEE 2013 and also the eligibility criteria and the paper pattern of the examination.
Important Dates for AIPGMEE 2013:
Date of Examination : First week of January 2013
Starting date for online registration of application : 1st week of December 2012
Closing date for receipt of applications : 25-12-2012
Last date for receipt of completed Registration slips along with AIIMS copy of Challan form/ Offline applications at Examination section, AIIMS : 25-12-2012
Admit Cards, Hall ticket download : 30-12-2012
Result Declaration Expected on or before 15-02-2013
Eligibility Criteria for AIPGMEE 2013:
1.Indian nationals are only eligible to apply for AIPGMEE 2012
2.MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized medical/dental college or a foreign degree mentioned in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 is a must for candidates appearing for AIPGMEE 2013 exam
3.Candidates with MBBS/BDS degree from Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir Medical/Dental colleges are not eligible for AIPGMEE 2013 unless they are nominated by the Government of India to do MBBS/BDS in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir medical/dental colleges.
4.Mandatory period of 12 month pre-registration internship must be completed from a recognized hospital on or before 31st March, 2011.

Candidates are required to be perfect in the following subjects to top the AIPGMEE exam.

5. Pathology
6. Microbiology
7. Forensic Medicine
8. Social and Preventive Medicine
9. Medicine Dermatology and Venerelogy
10. Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics & Anaesthesia
11. Paediatrics
12. Obstetrics and Gynaecology
13. Radio diagnosis and Radio Therapy
14. Biophysics
15. Ophthalmology
16. Psychiatry
AIPGMEE 2012 exam is of 300 questions from the above mentioned subjects. Hence students having grip of these subjects are sure to stand first.
