XAT formerly known as XLRI Test stands in the country as the first MBA entrance examination to integrate business decision-making situations and questions that test the candidate's ethical decision making qualities. Conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute, a business school in Jamshedpur, Xavier Aptitude Test is an all-India test for students aspiring to get admitted into the reputed top B-Schools in the country such as Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) and many other top most B-Schools. More than 70 B-Schools all over the country are currently accepting the XAT score for admission into their management programmes.

In the list of all the management exams, XAT is one of the most competitive and the toughest exam and this year's XAT is no easier. XAT exam has 85 questions with a duration of 2 hours which is followed by an essay writing for 20 minutes. XAT along with being competitive and toughest, places another hurdle in student's path and that is negative marking. 1/3rd marking will be counted as negative for the first 5 wrong answers in each section and beyond that - mark for an error.

XAT Eligibility Criteria:

1.A minimum bachelor's degree under the 10+2+3 pattern of education is the major eligibility criteria for students appearing in XAT .
2.Students who passed out the 10+2+3, should have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduate examination.
3.Candidates doing their final year exams can also apply
4.The good and the happiest news about XAT examination is, there is no age limit.

XAT Exam Syllabus:

The XAT is not the exam conducted based on particular subjects. Instead the XAT exam tests your reasoning, decision making and verbal ability skills. Therefore the candidates appearing for XAT exam should be well practiced in the following sections:

1. Verbal ability and Logical Reasoning
2. Analytical Reasoning and Decision making
3. Quantitative ability and Data Interpretation
Candidates must practice time management as most of the XAT questions were tricky and time consuming.
