PGECET – Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test
For admission into the regular PG courses in Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Technology and Planning (ME, M.Arch, M.Pharmacy, M.Tech and M.Plg) and Graduate Level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate) courses, Common Entrance Test is conducted every year by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education under the name Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET).
For the PGECET is being conducted by the University College of Engineering, Osmania University on behalf of APSCHE. Identifying the meritorious and motivated candidates at the state level for admission to the above mentioned post graduate courses is the main and primary objective of PGECET exam. The entrance exam is for duration of 2 hours with 120 multiple choice questions.
Eligibility Criteria for PGECET :
The basic eligibility criterion a candidate has to possess for admissions into engineering courses through PGECET is given below. For detailed criteria of each specialization, candidates are advised to through the notification.
Candidate appearing for PGECET exam should be an Indian national
Candidate should be from the state of Andhra Pradesh
The local and non-local requirements that are laid down in the regulations of admissions should be satisfied by the candidate
A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination
PGECET Syllabus:
The detailed knowledge areas covered for each course of PGECET have been clearly mentioned in the notification. Henceforth, candidates are strongly advised to follow the notification for the syllabus and prepare a study plan.
