NIT MCA Common Entrance Test popularly as NIMCET, is a national level test conducted by National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for admission in to their MCA programme. These NITs are centrally funded technical institutes having national level importance. The syllabus for this MCA programme is designed based on the present trends and needs of the various Information Technology firms in India.
NIMCET exam is one of the best opportunities for students aspiring to get in to the high potential IT sector jobs. The NIMCET notification has been released and this year the entrance exam is being conducted by NIT, Warangal. The eligible candidates of NIMCET can only apply online and then submit the filled in hard copy of application along with necessary enclosures by post.
Eligibility for NIMCET
A minimum of 60% or 6.5/10 CGPA is required in
- 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subjects (55% for SC, ST category)
Qualifying degree i.e., bachelor’s degree of full time 3 year or more duration from a recognized university
- Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET
