MAT – Management Aptitude Test
MAT is Conducted by All India Institute of Management Association – AIMA, MAT is a national Entrance Test for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes in reputed and top MBA colleges, B-Schools and Institutes. MAT exam stands next to CAT, the best MBA entrance exam and is taken by over 2 lakh students every year. MAT is conducted 4 times every year, in the months of February, May, September and December. Now MAT is conducted by Center for Management Services (CMS), a specialized division of AIMA.
Candidates aiming to get admitted in renowned universities, reputed colleges and B-Schools offering management courses for the year 2013 should clear the MAT 2013 examination. MAT is also conducted in overseas location. Candidates appearing for MAT should be very careful while taking the exam as there is negative marking and 1/4th marks will be slashed for each wrong answer.
MAT Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates graduated from a recognized university or equivalent institute or candidates doing their final year graduation are eligible to appear for MAT .
In addition to the graduation, determination to get admitted in reputed B-Schools is the only eligibility required as there is no age limit or minimum percentage limit for MAT examination.
MAT syllabus:
There are five papers in MAT exam and here are the papers mentioned below for the students to prepare accordingly.
1. Language Comprehension
2. Mathematical Skills
3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency
4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
5. Indian and Global Environment
Time duration for MAT exam is 150 minutes for a total of 200 questions.
