NCHMCT - National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology
National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is an independent body and administers the academics for Hospitality, Hotel Administration and eleven other courses. All the institutes affiliated with the council follow the syllabus prescribed by the Council for all their professional courses.
The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology every year conducts the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to 1st year of B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Management which is a 3 year course. Starting from the academic year 2013, this Bachelor programme is provided by the NCHMCT in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University and candidates aspiring to join this programme have to pass the NCHMCT JEE exam.
Eligibility for JEE :
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects are eligible for appearing in JEE exam.
Candidates in their final year of exams are also eligible for NCHMCT exam
The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 22 years and for the Scheduled Castes and Tribes, it is 25 years.
A physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner has to be submitted by the qualified candidates of JEE exam at the time of admission.
