IITJEE - Indian Institutes of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam
Started through an Act of the Parliament, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are fostering excellence in education and are having national importance. At present there are 15 IITs in different cities of India and in all these years, these Indian Institutes of Technology created strong world class educational base through their dynamic and continuous research in international infrastructure facilities.
Therefore it is no surprise that many students dream of getting into these IITs. For this, the candidates have to get through the Joint Entrance Examination known as IITJEE. The IITJEE notification has been released and entrance exam for this year will be conducted in the month of April. The IITJEE exam has two papers and each paper's duration is 3 hours. Here, the point to be remembered by the aspirants is, some sections of these papers have negative marking for wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria for IITJEE Exam:
Candidates born after October 1st 1987 are only eligible for IITJEE . In case of SC, ST and PD, the date of birth should be before October 1st 1982.
Minimum percentage of marks to be scored in QE by the candidates is 60% and it is 55% for SC, ST, and PD candidates.
In consecutive years, a minimum of 2 attempts can be made by the candidates in JEE.
