ISAT - IIST Admission Test
Renowned as Asia’s first Space Institute, IIST, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is the first institute in the world to offer students with various undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes specifically aimed at space science, technology and applications. Admissions into the B.Tech programmes of IIST in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, and Physical Sciences divisions take place through the ISAT examination conducted by IIST. Good news for the students is that assistance for cost of education, boarding, lodging and healthcare is provided for all the B.Tech students. Additional weightage to the above mentioned good news is that students on successful completion of the B.Tech course are taken in ISRO as scientists/engineers.

Eligibility Criteria for ISAT :
The eligibility criteria for ISAT 2012 exam is as follows.
Candidates applying for ISAT 2012 should be citizens of India
Date of Birth of General and OBC candidates should be after 1st October 1987 while for SC, ST and PD candidates it could be after 1st October 1982.
Class X or equivalent exam percentage of applying candidates should be a minimum of 70% for General and OBC and 60% for SC, ST, and PD.
The same percentages apply for 10+2 or equivalent examination for candidates appearing for ISAT 2012 exam.
2011 or 2012 should be the year of your first appearance in ISAT 2012
