The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH) is going to start an, all course M. Tech programme from the upcoming session of 2017-18 which will have a higher fee.
GATE qualification is not mandatory for this course and no student of this course will be eligible for any fellowship. An M. Tech degree with a specialization in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering will be given to the students on the completion of this course.
The all-course M. Tech programme can be completed in three-four semesters. The grading policy of this programme will be at par with regular 2-3 year M. Tech programmes. Depending on the specialization, the students need to collect 36-40 credits for the programme. They can choose to do it in three-four semesters.
The students of this programme will be eligible for IIT-H placements and can apply for PhD programmes in India or abroad.
