CAT 2018 Registration – Application Process Start from August 8

CAT 2018 Registration will be started from 8th August 2018. The CAT 2018 Registration process will close at 5PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. CAT is conducted for an admission to various postgraduate programmes in management in IIMs and other top business schools. CAT 2018 exam is scheduled on Sunday November 25, 2018. This year, it will be regulated by IIM, Calcutta. The CAT is a computer-based exam of 3 hours duration with 100 questions divided into 3 sections and will be conducted in more than 140 test cities in India.

How to Register for CAT 2018

Candidates are required to apply online for CAT registration 2018. The application procedure for filling the application form is mentioned here:

  • Visit the official link.
  • Register yourself by entering your email ID and mobile number.
  • After completion of the registration process, the User ID and password will be generated. It will be sent to the candidate’s mail ID and registered mobile number.
  • Login your account using system generated User ID and password.
  • Application process involves 5 sections namely personal details, academics, work experience, programmes and payment.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, category & PwD certificate in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the requisite application fee through online mode.

Documents needed to complete CAT 2018 registration and CAT 2018 application

Following are the mandatory items of information you need during the CAT 2018 registration and CAT 2018 online application process

  • Educational history
  • Mark sheets (10th /12th/ Degree/Diploma)
  • Work experience, if any
  • Applicable Certificates to upload
  • Scanned images of your passport size photo and signature. (The photo should not be more than six months old and should have a white background)
  • Scanned image of Passport size photo with the dimensions 35mm X 45mm along with the scanned image of your signature with the dimensions 1000mm X 35 mm. is required to be uploaded at the time of registration for CAT 2018. Please note that the documents file format should be .jpg or .jpeg and the file size should not be more than 80KB each. The image should be clear with a minimum resolution of 150px.
  • List of the IIM programmes to which you wish to apply
  • CAT exam fee payment instruments to pay CAT 2018 exam fee – like Debit/Credit cards, Net banking

Application Correction:

The institution will provide the correction facility in the application. All correction related details are mentioned below:

  • Candidates can make a correction in the application in the fourth week of September 2018through online mode.
  • The CAT 2019 application correction will be done only in some particulars.
  • Last year, the correction will be allowed only in some personal detailssuch as address, category, gender, work experience, educational information, interview city preference, exam city preferences, etc.
  • If candidates have made mistake in personal details, other personal details, communication address, uploaded documents, then they have to register again with a new email ID.
  • Candidates will do the correction through User ID & password.

Important points about CAT 2018 registration

  • CAT 2018 registration will be online process only
  • CAT 2018 registration will remain open for more than 45 days from August 8 to September 19, 2018
  • When you register for CAT 2018, you will automatically apply online for CAT 2018
  • Applying online for CAT 2018 will mean that you have to opt for the relevant management programmes in all the 20 IIMs mentioned in the CAT 2018 registration form
  • The CAT 2018 exam fee is expected to be Rs.1900/- as was last year
  • In case of filling incorrect information in CAT 2018 online application form not only the candidature of the aspirant will be treated as invalid but the CAT registration fee will also be forfeited.
  • CAT 2018 registration can be completed in 3 steps.
  • Read the instructions at the start of the CAT registration form before beginning to fill up the CAT application form.
  • You can save and exit the CAT 2018 registration form any number of times to edit and complete it later or can Save & Continue each section till you submit the application.
  • Fee for CAT exam is to be paid after completing your CAT online registration 2018 and CAT 2018 online application form.
  • If you do not pay the CAT 2018 exam fee after completing your CAT 2018 registration form, your CAT 2018 application form will remain incomplete and you will not be allowed to appear in CAT 2018 exam.
