University College of Engineering Kakinada (Autonomous), a premier institution under JNTU Kakinada, was originally established in 1946 as The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam. Spread across a lush 110-acre campus in the port city of Kakinada, the college has a rich legacy of academic excellence and cultural heritage.

It became a constituent college of JNTU Hyderabad in 1972, attained autonomous status in 2001, and joined JNTU Kakinada as a constituent college in 2008. Governed by university guidelines, the institution is led by the Principal, supported by the Vice-Principal, Academic Committee, and administrative staff.

The college offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and Ph.D. programs across a wide range of disciplines, including Civil, EEE, Mechanical, ECE, CSE, Petrochemical, and Petroleum Engineering. Admissions are based on national and state-level entrance exams like EAMCET, ECET, GATE, PGECET, and ICET.
