Government College for Women (A), Guntur of Andhra Pradesh, established in 1942, in 10.85 acres, with around 2250 students on rolls at present, is an established and the oldest women’s college in the district. It has completed 81 years of committed service enabling mostly rural women students in terms of education and employability. Offering UG and PG programs in multiple disciplines in Arts, Commerce and Sciences, this autonomous institution was recognised as Centre with Potential for Excellence (2016-2021), and RUSA grants and NIRF ranking (168) in 2018 have been feathers in its cap.
