The Kanakadas Shikshana Samiti is a pioneer Institution that bears the name a great saint and Universal Philosopher and renowned poet Kanakadasa. This is the brain child of our beloved President Dr. B. F. Dandin who was a popular professor in Statistics and Mathematics as well as a great educationist. He sacrificed his whole life for the betterment of this institution since its inception. For excellent educational service the Karnataka University, Dharawad has conferred on him the honorary “Doctorate” degree in the year 2011. His yeoman services brought him many laurels like Seva Ratna from HH Naganur Mutt, Belgavi. He is recently conferred with Karnataka Rajyostava Award by Government of Karnataka on 11.11.2020 at Bengaluru.
