MGC Arts, Commerce and Ganesh Hegde Dodmane Science College Siddapur, was started in the year 1969 by Shikshana Prasarak Samiti ® Siddapur.Hon. Shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane, the founder of this institution who worked relentlessly to build the infrastructure of the college by the support of concurring philanthropist of this area and the support of Shri Ramakrsihna Hegde Dodmane, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka.Since its inception, the college has served the ideology of the patron shri Ganesh Hegde Dodmane by giving thousands of graduates to the society. Many of them are reached the top position in career and serving the nation in various fields.
