Teresian College, Mysore is owned and administered by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) Karnataka Province under the auspices of St. Teresa’s Education Society. It is a registered Minority Educational Institution enjoying the relevant rights and privileges granted by the Indian constitution. The Management belongs to the religious congregation (CSST) founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima at Ernakulam in Kerala. It is dedicated primarily to the advancement of women’s education and their empowerment. The motto of the college ‘Virtue is the sole and only nobility’ highlights the lofty mission undertaken by the management. With an established tradition for running quality educational institutions in different parts of the country, the management owns 120 Schools and 8 Colleges besides this college. Teresian College is a sister Institution of Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bangaluru, which is the topmost Women’s College in South India. The management and the staff of the college take special interest in all round development of each student.
