Arul Anandar College (AAC), located in Karumathur, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu, is a distinguished autonomous institution affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. Established in 1970, AAC is administered by the Jesuits of the Madurai Province and serves as a beacon of higher education, particularly for rural and marginalized communities. The college is named after St. John de Britto.

Arul Anandar College was originally founded as De La Salle College in 1970  it was renamed Arul Anandar College in 1972 when it became a Jesuit institution. The college achieved autonomous status in 1987, making it one of the youngest colleges in Tamil Nadu to do so. AAC is “A” grade NAAC accredited institute, and also have affiliation with Madurai Kamraj University.

AAC offers a wide range of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), M.Phil., Ph.D., and certificate programs across multiple disciplines.
