Govt. College, Tirur

The college was started as a junior college with a Pre-Degree course in 1980, became a Degree College in 1991, achieved P.G. College status in 1995 and Department of Arabic was upgraded as Research department in 2018. We are affiliated to University of Calicut since inception. Admissions to the programmes are done online as per Calicut University allotments. The College currently comprises eleven academic departments and a skill acquisition centre. Supported by various service centers like INFLIB Net, Audio Visual Lab, Language lab, and the Central Library, the college offers 5 undergraduate programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Commerce, Arabic, and Malayalam. Additionally, it provides four postgraduate programmes in Mathematics, Commerce, Arabic, and Malayalam. One integrated PG programme in English and Media studies and a Ph. D programme in Arabic are also offered.
