Indira Gandhi Govt. College, Tezu, established on 2nd October 1986, has been a model centre of higher learning and research in the eastern region of Arunachal Pradesh. Being a unique initiative in field of higher education, this institution aims to emerge as a vital educational hub devoted to both qualitative teaching and state-of-the-art research. In recognition to its multi-dimensional potentialities as well as academic achievements, NAAC has accredited our college with B+ grade in 2006 (Cycle-I), B++ grade in 2016 (Cycle-II) and B grade in 2024 (Cycle-III).
The college is recognised by UGC, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, Itanagar. It offers 3 years undergraduate programmes (consisting of six semesters) and 4 years undergraduate programmes (consisting of eight semester) in Arts, Commerce and Science in an intellectually vibrant as well as liberal, lively and competitive academic environment. Apart from classroom teaching, the college builds student skills in areas like scientific inquiry, problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, and workshop as well as seminar practices.
