Midnapore College, established in 1873, is the oldest college in Midnapore, located in the Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal, India. Originally affiliated with the University of Calcutta, it is now an autonomous institution under Vidyasagar University. The college has a rich history, evolving from a private school in 1834 to a degree college, and has played a significant role in the spread of higher education in the region.  

The Midnapore College has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A+ grade in 2017, achieving a CGPA of 3.60 out of 4.00.
