About Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology:

Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT), located in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, was established in 1976. Initially founded as the Faculty of Technology in Kamla Nehru Institute of Science and Technology, it was taken over by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1979 to develop an engineering institute in the eastern region of the state. In 1983, it was registered as a separate society and renamed Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology.

KNIT is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and has been ranked among the top engineering institutes under AKTU. In 2023, the institute was ranked 148 by the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF).

Over the years, Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology has gained popularity for its commitment to providing quality technical education and fostering research and innovation. KNIT offers undergraduate programs leading to a Bachelor of Technology (B. However, cases requiring specialized treatment are referred to the District Hospital, Sultanpur.
