In 1967, Dhubri Law College was founded. Situated in Dhubri, in the Indian state of Assam, College Nagar, Bidyapara is home to the non-government Dhubri Law College. Renowned attorney and educationist Dinesh Ranjan Sarkar started it. He served as Dhubri Law College's first Principal and first Secretary.
The BCI (Bar Council of India), New Delhi, has approved this college, and it is permanently associated with Gauhati University, Assam. The Assamese government has approved this college, and it has also applied for NAAC (National Assessment and Certification Council) certification.
The BA, LL.B., LL.B and LLM programs are among the law courses offered by Dhubri Law College. The LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) program lasts three years, while the BA. LL.B. program lasts five years.
