Established under the Central Universities Act 2009, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is a Central University of India situated in the state of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Previously known as GuruGhasidas University (GGU), it was formally opened on June 16, 1983, after being founded by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly.
