Established in 1970 as a not-for-profit society, the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) was set up to provide research-based inputs to industries and the government in the areas of finance and economics. Sponsored by the erstwhile ICICI Ltd, the House of Kothari's, and other major industrial groups, IFMR Society was the first of its kind in Asia.
The current Board of Governors is headed by Mr R Seshasayee – Chairman, IndusInd Bank Ltd, Mumbai, and consists of Mr. N Vaghul, Ex-Chairman of ICICI Bank, Ms. Nayantara Kothari, Director of Kothari Safe Deposits Ltd and Mr. Kapil Viswanathan, President of IFMR.
IFMR Society is the sponsoring body of KREA University - a state-private university in Andhra Pradesh. KREA University is listed on the University Grants Commission (UGC) website.

Q. Please provide me with the details of the contact number and address of KREA university.
A. Phase I of the KREA new Campus is expected to be in place by 2024, which will be spread over 200 acres in Sri city, 55 KMs north of Chennai. A. P’s KREA Programmes have commenced in the campus of IFMR Graduate School of Business on 40 acres. The location details are furnished below:

Q. Will KREA have its own admission Test, or can candidates submit any other scores of Common Entrance Tests?
A. KREA does not have its own admissions entrance exam for the current academic year. However, as a part of stage 2 (Online KREA Immersive Case Day) of our admissions process, a quantitative reasoning test is conducted.
Q. Are offline applications of students accepted by KREA University?
A. No, offline applications are not accepted. Candidates need to visit the office to access the online application form.
Q. Is SAT/ACT mandatory for admissions into KREA University?
A. No. It is not mandatory to have SAT and ACT scores. However, students can submit SAT and ACT scores if they have taken the test. The College Board designated code for KREA is 7632.
