The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was established in 1984 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Initially functioning as the Faculty of Engineering and Technology under the University of Lucknow, it became an autonomous institute and is currently a constituent college of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). The institute is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
