Puducherry Technological University - Infrastructure Facilities
Puducherry Technological University (PTU) offers a range of infrastructure facilities designed to support both academic and extracurricular activities. The campus is equipped with modern amenities that cater to the needs of students and faculty alike.
Library- The Library's building, with its impressive architecture, has been thoughtfully designed to give users greater space and natural light. In addition to thousands of research publications, science journals, and more than 56,000 books in a variety of fields written by both domestic and foreign authors, it also offers its staff and students e-access to a vast library of e-books and periodicals.
Auditorium- The PTU auditorium, which can accommodate about 800 people, is a magnificent building. The main auditorium hall has excellent acoustics and is equipped with everything needed to organize a presentation, event, or performance. In addition, the two-story building has two conference rooms, green spaces, and a restaurant with a kitchen connected.
Sports- PTU's sports complex is always bustling with activity and has been supporting a number of athletes for a very long time. The basketball, handball, volleyball, and football/cricket courts are all part of the Sports Complex. All year long, sporting activities are held, culminating in a spectacular Sports Day to honor the year's winners.
Hostel- Named after Carnatic music ragas, there are three hostels for males (Varali, Saranga, and Charukesi) and one for girls (Tharangini). The hostels serve a menu that is agreed upon by the students living there and have an accompanying mess. Each hostel features a common area and large spaces for guests to socialize, unwind, or play, as well as Wi-Fi.
Open Air Theatre- Approximately 500 people can be accommodated in the large Open Air Theatre (OAT) at PTU. The OAT would see many fun gatherings.
