The University of Lucknow, informally known as Lucknow University or LU, is a public state university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 1867, it is one of the oldest government-owned institutions of higher education in the country. The University of Lucknow provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and a wide range of facilities to its students. Some of the key infrastructure facilities and amenities available at the university include:
Aarogya Bhawan- Internal medical services have been a part of the university from the beginning in the form of a dispensary that is now known as Arogya Bhawan. All of our staff members and students are covered by Medicare. When a crisis occurs, healthcare facilities provide First Aid. Arogya Bhawan is fully furnished with all the necessities for good health, including a thermometer, glucometer, B.P. apparatus (both manual and electronic), height and weight scales, nebulizer, and more. Three physicians have been appointed, two of them homoeopathic and one allopathic.
Canteen- The old campus has five canteens, and the Second Campus has three, offering packaged and fresh meals. They offer the university's staff, faculty, students, and visitors a wide selection of affordable, nutritious food options.
Child Care Centre- To assist working moms (teaching and non-teaching staff) in juggling their multiple roles at home and work and to lessen their anxiety about their child's health and well-being, the University of Lucknow offers a Child Care Center. The University Day Care Center seeks to give the kids of university staff members a comfortable, safe, and secure environment.
