ASRAM Medical College and Hospital was established in 2000 to provide high-quality healthcare and educate future health professionals. Originally admitting 100 MBBS students, the intake has increased over the years, reaching 150 in 2009 and rising to 250 by the 2022-2023 academic year. Concurrently, postgraduate courses began in 2007 across 20 specialties, with the program now offering 158 seats annually.The campus is well-equipped to support this educational mission, featuring five digital lecture halls each with a capacity of 300, designed to enhance interactive learning through modern aids like projectors and smartboards. Additionally, the college boasts 50 modern demonstration rooms and a mini auditorium with a 650 seat capacity for both academic and non-academic programs.A significant educational resource is the centrally air-conditioned library, housing over 26,200 books and numerous medical journals and periodicals. It provides separate reading areas for students and faculty to facilitate research and learning. The Medical Education Unit at ASRAM has been recognized by the National Medical Commission as a Regional Center for Medical Education Technologies, further enhancing faculty development through various programs.
Practical skills are emphasized in the well-developed skills lab, which offers training to medical, paramedical, and nursing students in a simulated environment. This comprehensive approach extends beyond academics, with the vast 87.73 acres campus featuring a range of sports facilities including cricket grounds, tennis and basketball courts, and athletic tracks to promote the all-round development of students.
