Sri Vivekananda Degree College for Women (SVDCW) was established in the year 2012 by an academicians, abled administrators and Philanthropists Sri D.S.R. Manohar Reddy garu and Dr. N.P. Madhusudhan Reddy garu with a passion to provide quality education to the local rural women and empower them through knowledge and employment. The institution is located at the heart of the district headquarter kadapa and it is well connected to various villages and other districts. The earliest inscriptional evidence reveals that "Kadapa" meaning in Telugu "Threshold" was a convenient camping place for the pilgrims visiting the Lord Venkateswara Temple at Tirupati. The District is also considered to be one of the District endowed with rich History, Minerals Flora & Fauna.
The institution is affiliated to Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa. The institution was started with 04 programs with an initial admissions of 83. Currently, the institution is offering 05 programs with total enrolled students of 752. The Institution has grown in various aspects since its inception and achieved many milestones. The Institution enjoys a commendable social accreditation and a very good reputation in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
