Institute of Science & Technology for Advanced Studies & Research (ISTAR), also known as the C.L. Patel Centre for Science & Technology, was established in 1999 by the educational society Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) as a dedicated center for postgraduate education and research in science, technology and related disciplines. ISTAR offers a broad portfolio of advanced programmes — including multiple postgraduate (M.Sc., M.E., etc.), PG diplomas, and Ph.D. programmes across various disciplines.Its aim is to provide high-quality, globally relevant education while fostering research and innovation in areas such as chemical sciences, environmental science, computer science, instrumentation and control, biotechnology, and more.
