About St. Theresa School of Nursing:
St. Theresa's Hospital was started in the year 1938 by a group French Missionary Sisters for treating female TB patients. Tuberculosis was a much dreaded disease in those days owing to a lack of medical facilities and slow progress of medical science in this field. At first, a small cottage was built as living quarters for the Sisters and the hospital staff. Later a building was constructed for TB. patients and was named St. Theresa's TB Sanatorium.
