Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an undergraduate Nursing course. Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families and communities so that they may attain, maintain or recover to optimal health and lead quality life. During the course, it is taught to the nurses, how to work in a variety independently and as part of a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. Nursing Science is a field of knowledge based on the contributions of a nursing scientist through peer-reviewed scholarly journals and evidenced-based practice. The duration of the course is four years, but it depends on the institute to institute as per their rules.M.Sc. Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing is a postgraduate Academic Nursing course. The Course deals with the healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death. The duration of M.Sc. in Nursing is mostly of two academic years, but it varies from institute to institute. The University of Delhi is providing in two years on a full-time basis. The minimum time to complete the course is also two years.Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery is an undergraduate Nursing course. Nursing and Midwifery focuses on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death. The time period of General Nursing and Midwifery is three academic year, but it varies from institute to institute. The University is providing in three and half years including six months internship. The minimum time to complete the course is also differentiating from institute to institute. The course may also be available on a part-time basis in some certain institutes. The diploma course is an important and job orienting in nature.
