The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee offers various scholarships to its students. These scholarships are provided based on both need and merit. Following is the list of some of the scholarships awarded to the students at IIT Roorkee.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (MCM)
·Both UG and M.Sc students (General/OBC) are provided with a scholarship amount of INR 1000 per month for 10 months along with a refund of the rest of the tuition fee.
·Students of B. Tech., B.Arch., Integrated programs, and BS-MS programs are eligible.
·Only 25% of the students pursuing dual degree programs are provided with this scholarship up to 4th year.
·Family income should not be more than INR 5 LPA.
·Students should have a CGPA of 7.0 or above.
·Not applicable for fresh students.
·Students must clear all their registered courses.
James Thomson Scholarship
·Awarded to students who have up to 250 All India Rank in JEE (Advanced) and are admitted to IIT Roorkee.
·The scholarship provides INR 25,000 per month for the entire duration of the program.
·Students are expected to obtain a CGPA of 8.0 or above at the end of every academic year.
Inspire She Scheme
·It is awarded to female students from both UG and PG pursuing – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
·Being a first-year student of BS-MS and M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. Programs from Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics Departments clearing all subjects at once and having a CGPA of 7 out of a 10-point scale.
·Securing All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced)-2021/Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM)-2022 up to 1000.
·For fresh students, documents of 10th grade and 10+2, and scorecards from JEE and JAM are required.
·For renewal students are also required to provide all the important documents such as – the Common Rank List, and mark sheets of both the previous semesters.
DR. S.K. Goel and Mrs. Kusum Goel Scholarship
·It is awarded to four (UG) students pursuing Engineering program who are financially weak.
·A scholarship amount of INR 2 LPA is provided.
·Students will have to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above in each academic year.
·The family income of these students should be between INR 5 LPA to INR 6 LPA.
·Important documents required – PAN card, Aadhar card and ITR forms of father or guardian.
Sharman Foundation Scholarship
· 30 students pursuing UG programs and are financially weak are eligible.
·All General/OBC students pursuing B. Tech., B.Arch., and Integrated programs are eligible.
·A scholarship amount of INR 70,000 is provided each year.
For disadvantaged students pursuing Engineering courses
·It is awarded to 2 disadvantaged UG students amounting to USD 1000 per annum.
·It is provided for four years.
·Students should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 at the end of every semester each year.
·One female student will be provided with this scholarship if all the criteria are matched.
