In February 1989, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune was initially affiliated with Pune University. Lecture Halls- The college boasts three main lecture halls, each with a capacity of 180, air-conditioned and equipped with smart and virtual classroom facilities. These include interactive projectors/boards, Wi-Fi access, two-way audio-video conferencing facilities, a lecture capture system, mobile biometric attendance, and more.
Library- BVDUMC's library is home to 18,127 books, 176 journals (88 national and 88 international), 5,300 reference books, 3,100 titles, and 3,771 bound volumes. The 24-hour reading hall can accommodate 300 students. BVDUMC provides 44 terminals for accessing online books and journals, connected to three online databases: National Knowledge Network, MUHS, and DELNET, offering a vast array of electronic journals (2,074 via MUHS and 1,900 via DELNET). Additionally, a proprietary software, E-PASS, is available for use.
Hostel- Separate hostels for boys and girls are available for undergraduate students, along with distinct accommodations for residents and interns. Two new hostels, one for UG boys and another for girls, have been constructed with modern amenities to meet the students' current needs. Resident doctors are provided with well-furnished shared accommodations. All hostels come equipped with recreational facilities, including TV, internet, and indoor games.
Teaching and Non-teaching quarters- Faculty members and non-teaching staff have access to staff quarters within the campus, which include 72 one and two-bedroom furnished apartments. The campus also features a playground for outdoor games such as cricket, football, and basketball, as well as a well-equipped gymnasium.
Rural Health Training Center (RHTC) - The Rural Health Training Center (RHTC) at Lavale, with a built-up area of 2,482.20 sq. mt, offers comprehensive healthcare to nearly 65,000 people across 10 villages. The centre is fully equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic facilities and includes residential quarters for staff and trainees. The RHTC also serves as a rural field practice demonstration site for undergraduate students and interns.
