Topiwala National Medical College (TNMC) is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical institutions in India, located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
TNMC was established in 1921 through donations from the Tilak Swaraj Funds. It started functioning at Victoria Cross Lane, Byculla and was initially affiliated with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay. In 1946, the municipal corporation of the city of Bombay took over the college and the hospital, and Bombay University affiliated the twin institutions. The institution is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and has received approval from the Medical Council of India (MCI).
TNMC ranked 42nd among medical colleges in India, maintaining the same position as in 2022. It is ranked 1st in Mumbai and 2nd in Maharashtra.
