The MBA program in PIBM began in the academic year 2008-2009 with a first intake of 60 students. Afterward, it was raised to 120 in 2012–2013. Students from the First Batch, which was associated with S.K. University, Anantapur, graduated in 2010–2011. After that, the Department began accepting 120 students in 2012 and became affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Anantapur.

The mission of Prabhath Institute of Business Management, Andhra Pradesh is to mold students into well-informed individuals and motivate them to develop the necessary skills to meet the challenges of the modern world.
