The Morigaon Law College was initially come into existence in the the year 1990. It is the only Law College in the district imparting legal education since its inception. The founder Principal of the college was Late Lakheswar Deka (Sivaji), who was a re-known advocate of Morigaon district. But due to various reasons the college had discontinued. Again in the year 2010, the college was restarted. Now, the college has its own building in its own land. The college has adequately qualified staff. The college is aiming to emerge as a centre of excellence in imparting legal education in the district and also to obtain the status of premier law college in the state by achieving a high order of excellence providing legal education and there by assuming to create a law literate with all the necessary concept and skills in the legal field.
