Morigaon Law College Info

The Morigaon Law College was initially come into existence in the the year 1990. It is the only Law College in the district imparting legal education since its inception. The founder Principal of the college was Late Lakheswar Deka (Sivaji), who was a re-known advocate of Morigaon district. But due to various reasons the college had discontinued. Again in the year 2010, the college was restarted. Now, the college has its own building in its own land. The college has adequately qualified staff. The college is aiming to emerge as a centre of excellence in imparting legal education in the district and also to obtain the status of premier law college in the state by achieving a high order of excellence providing legal education and there by assuming to create a law literate with all the necessary concept and skills in the legal field.

L.L.B	Law	-	To be eligible for an LLB, you must complete a qualifying exam and meet the minimum percentage requirements set by the Bar Council of India, which are generally 45% for the General category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates. The specific requirements depend on the type of LLB program you choose: a 3-year LLB requires a bachelor's degree, while a 5-year integrated LLB requires completion of 10+2 (higher secondary) education.
LLM	Law	-	To be eligible for an LL.M. (Master of Laws) program, you must have a completed LL.B. degree or an equivalent law degree from a recognized university. Most institutions require a minimum percentage of marks, often 50% or higher for General categories and a lower percentage for reserved categories like SC/ST. You also need to clear the university's or a national-level entrance exam and potentially an interview.
