Tirunelveli Medical College (TVMC) is a government-run postgraduate research institution in southern India, fully owned and operated by the Department of Health & Family Welfare of the Tamil Nadu State Government. TVMC was established in year 1965. TVMC is ranked among the top 50 medical institutes in India according to the NIRF Ranking 2021 by the Government of India, accredited by the National Medical Commission of India for medical programs, the Nursing Council of India for nursing programs, and is affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai.
