Chandigarh university (CU Punjab) is one of the top universities in India with a dominant academic performance and prominence. Chandigarh University Mohali has been ranked 19th in the University category, 32nd in Overall ranking in NIRF 2025 Rankings At the global level, Chandigarh University has been ranked 120th in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025.

Chandigarh University has a large academic base with a diverse multidisciplinary curriculum, in Engineering, Management, Law, and Health Sciences. The flagship program B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) is a renowned industry-oriented specialisations in computer science and aerospace engineering. Other than technical courses, CU Punjab also offers  MBA, B.A. LL.B and B.Pharm. These courses are mainly regulated by CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test). Students can avail scholarships based on the merit in CUCET.

Overall college is neither too good not too bad. It all depends upon student to student prospective. Infrastructure, classroom libraries, eating points all are very good. Academically a little bit pressure you might get but to overcome that study consistently. Teachers are friendly, supportive, have good knowledge about their subject but except some. Examination is neither easy nor tough it all based on what is taught in class. Free WIFI is available everywhere inside campus. Fees maybe can be an issue. Advice: If you are coming here then keep it at last option.

The placement cell is active, especially for branches like CSE, IT, and MBA. Some students have bagged offers from big tech firms like Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft. However, average packages vary significantly depending on the stream. Modern Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, with smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and good sports facilities. The hostels are decent and provide necessary amenities.
