Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology (VJCET) is a self-financing engineering college established in 2001 and run by the Diocesan Technical Educational Trust under the Syro Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Kothamangalam.

The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The institution and its programs were accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade.  It offers B.Tech programs in seven disciplines, BHMCT, M.Tech and MBA programs. Computer Center- Viswajyothi features a central computing facility known as the Common Computing Centre (CCC), equipped with two internet leased lines of 300 and 100 Mbps. Students have access to the internet to download study materials and can obtain hard copies with staff assistance at any time. The centre is air-conditioned and has an uninterrupted power supply.

Hostel- The College Hostel for Boys and Girls, managed by the Diocesan Technical Education Trust, provides accommodation for Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology students and staff in Vazhakulam. It serves as a formation house and cultural centre, offering a tranquil atmosphere for personal development. Both hostels are on campus and can house up to 350 students.
