Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC), located in Danguajhar near National Highway 27 (West Bengal SH 12A) in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, was established on August 7, 1961. As the second oldest engineering college in the state, it has a rich history of providing quality technical education.

JGEC is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and holds accreditations from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
